Photo Flashback! Mickey and Friends

During our last trip to Walt Disney World in November 2013, Amy booked a breakfast at 'Ohana.  Two of my favorite characters showed up for pictures.  Notice Minnie is "stomping" on Mickey's shoe.  Don't think Mickey minded too much.

And of course Mickey's best Pal, Pluto came along too.

Photo Flashback! A Special Disney Parade

I love a parade.  I danced along daily as Remember the Magic and SpectroMagic passed during my college program days at Crystal Palace.  I have memories of the Main Street Electrical Parade from my childhood.  I loved the huge puppets and drums in the Tapestry of Nations parade at Epcot.

My girls and I visited Walt Disney World five times during 2012 and 2013 and the parade we've seen over and over is Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party.  It's a short parade that stops several times during its journey down Main Street USA encouraging guests to dance with the cast.  Tink and I quickly jumped at the chance to join the fun.  Most of the photos below are from Minnie's first Disney vacation in May of 2012.  She was 11 months old and while you can see that she enjoyed the first performance of the parade, she didn't stir from a nap the next time we encountered the show that day.

I have to admit I have mixed feelings about this parade.  It's fun, it's cute, and if you have the time, it's a good parade.   There are a ton of characters and you just might get the chance to dance with your favorite.   However, I feel like we are constantly fighting to get in or out of the Magic Kingdom due to the crowds caused by the frequent performances.  But since we've been able to visit so often lately, I guess I can't really complain.

The Disney Inspired Letter "S" - "S" is for STREET - MAIN STREET USA!!
The Mayor

Main Street USA is one of my favorite places at Walt Disney World.  I love walking down Main Street!  And if you arrive early you even get to shake hands with the Mayor!

Photo Flashback! Disney Side, Like Mother, Like Daughter

My Disney Side likes to be silly at Walt Disney World.  In November 2012, my family visited New Fantasyland during an Annual Passholder preview.  I knew I'd never see the area that empty again so I wanted to play a bit.  Tink was being, well, three and didn't want to play along, refusing to look at the camera.

How do you show your #DisneySide at the parks?

However, my Disney Side must be rubbing off on her because when we passed the fountain in November 2013, Tink asked me to take a picture of her muscles.  That's my girl.
