The absolute best icon at Walt Disney World has to be Cinderella Castle. If you hear someone call it Cinderella's Castle you know immediately they are a "tourist" and not a Disneyphyle. The Castle is not Cinderella's. The name of the Castle is "Cinderella Castle".
The Castle is the "weenie" that draws guests down Main Street USA and on to other Lands at the Magic Kingdom.

Below are a few of the pictures I have taken over the years.
My wife and I went to The Magic Kingdom on our honeymoon in 1973.

And we have been back many times since.

On occasion the castle has been changed for special occasions, like making it into a giant cake to celebrate WDW 25th Anniversary.

The huge "stained glass mirror" was put on the castle as part of the Happiest Celebration on Earth. The image changed every 40 seconds showing images of all the Castles from each park from Disneyland to Hong Kong Disneyland and the date each park opened.

The rear of the Castle is beautiful too. The arched windows open into Cinderella's Royal Table restaurant.

I love the Magic Kingdom at night. The Castle and Main Street USA are especially beautiful at night when decorated for Christmas.

I like the view of the Castle from the walkway to Tomorrowland. This view shows some of the beautiful landscaping around the Castle.

And this one is of me, taken by Mom, in 2012.
The Castle is not a bad backdrop for a photo.
Wonder if anyone has thought of that? :-)
