I love a parade. I danced along daily as Remember the Magic and SpectroMagic passed during my college program days at Crystal Palace. I have memories of the Main Street Electrical Parade from my childhood. I loved the huge puppets and drums in the Tapestry of Nations parade at Epcot.
My girls and I visited Walt Disney World five times during 2012 and 2013 and the parade we've seen over and over is Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party. It's a short parade that stops several times during its journey down Main Street USA encouraging guests to dance with the cast. Tink and I quickly jumped at the chance to join the fun. Most of the photos below are from Minnie's first Disney vacation in May of 2012. She was 11 months old and while you can see that she enjoyed the first performance of the parade, she didn't stir from a nap the next time we encountered the show that day.
I have to admit I have mixed feelings about this parade. It's fun, it's cute, and if you have the time, it's a good parade. There are a ton of characters and you just might get the chance to dance with your favorite. However, I feel like we are constantly fighting to get in or out of the Magic Kingdom due to the crowds caused by the frequent performances. But since we've been able to visit so often lately, I guess I can't really complain.
