June 1973 - The Haunted Mansion |
These photos are from a set of slides my wife's uncle took in June 1973 which I have been posting here at Growing Up Disney. The Richard F. Irvine joined the original riverboat, The Admiral Joe Fowler, on May 20, 1973 to cruise the Rivers of America. It was rebuilt in 1996 and renamed The Liberty Belle. The Haunted Mansion was one of the opening day attractions on October 1, 1971.

Welcome, Sandra! And thank you! I love these photos that DisneyDad is sharing with us.
DeleteWelcome Sandra. Thanks for dropping by and visiting with us. Check out the Family Behind the Blog tab. There are a lot of old photos posted here as I have been going to WDW since about 1970 (yes, 1970 before the MK opened) and a lot more to come.

I love the Old photos of the Haunted Mansion, they have a great eerie feel to them :-)
ReplyDeleteThe color on the photo was just as the old slide appeared. I thought about photo shopping it some but decided to leave it just as it was.
