Welcome to those of you joining me from A World View and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the Final stop on our Magical Blogorail.
The funniest thing that ever happened to me at Walt Disney World....
When I received this month's blogorail topic, my first thought was my dad meeting his doppelgänger on Main Street USA. He has shared that story before here on Growing Up Disney so I'll let you check that out in a moment.
But my own personal funniest WDW moment was when a bear stole my cheese. I was sitting in a rocking chair in Frontierland enjoying a soft pretzel and some people watching. A couple of the Country Bears came out to do meet and greets. One of the bears came over and took my cheese dip. He played with it and offered it to some random woman who stuck her finger in it and then gave it back to me, all filled with fur and germs. I asked the character wrangler to go get me another cheese. I didn't think it would fly if I went over to the cart and told the Cast Member that a bear stole my cheese. Ok, so at the time, it was both funny and annoying but now I look back at that incident and laugh.
Thank you for joining Magical Blogorail Red this month. We will be back July 20th with an all new theme. That's hysterical! I would probably laugh - I love when characters are so "in" character! I once saw a green army man steal a little kid's autograph book and run around Pizza Planet with it for 20 minutes.
ReplyDeleteThanks for welcoming me to the Red line!
Rosanne @ The Disney Point
lol ... I'm not sure how I would react if I was a victim of food thievery by a Disney character?!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed that you thought to have the food handler hook you back up with some cheese ;) I'll keep that in mind, should the situation ever present itself - ha ha!
I don't know what I would have done Amy!! I can't believe someone put their finger in it, yuck!!
ReplyDeleteI could definitely see the annoying turn to funny now.. and yeah, what was that woman thinking sticking her finger in it? gross!
ReplyDeleteThanks y'all! I'm so glad I wasn't the only one grossed out! It does make for funny inside joke now though.
ReplyDeleteIt is a little strange for the character interaction to have a cost to the guest, but it is funny after the fact.
